Light of Amsterdam
Amsterdam is turning 750, and to celebrate, the city is illuminated by the 'Light of Amsterdam' all year long.
This stunning light display represents hope, warmth, and strength.
The moving lights, converging high above the city, are controlled by Visual Productions advanced CueCore2 system, thanks to the exceptional programming skills of Mischa Woudenberg from Distributor Full-AVL. The Light of Amsterdam shines from shortly after sunset until 11 PM, and then again from 6 AM until sunrise, every day until the end of the anniversary year on October 27, 2025.
This is made possible by the CueCore2's advanced show control features. Using its built-in clock, the system automatically activates the programs. Furthermore, the CueCore2 knows its exact location, allowing it to adjust the light display based on the local sunrise and sunset times. This self-contained, solid-state system requires no additional hardware or computer.
