As part of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, the city of Shanghai hosted a National Lighting Show that ran every 30 minutes in the evenings during the holiday season.

12 QuadCores were strategically positioned on building roofs to control the city-wide luminaires. The QuadCores converted Art-Net data - received from a MA2 console - to DMX. The QuadCores are programmed to automatically run a backup show in the event of Art-Net signal loss, adding redundancy to the lighting system.
